BluLever is looking for a caring and passionate Student Affairs Manager.
This role is perfect for someone who has experience working with young people in a supportive manner, and is passionate about building a team focused on student support and development. (If you have training as a social worker, psychologist, or educator - or have worked with young people before - this is for you!)

BluLever Education is empowering Africa’s artisans with skills for the future. BluLever achieves this through holistic vocational education and skills training that creates ethical industry professionals of a global standard. BluLever’s Braamfontein Campus, focused on plumbing apprenticeships, launched in early 2021.
WHERE WE ARE NOW
BluLever Education is preparing Africa for the 4th industrial revolution by mobilising a movement of 5 million artisans as active citizens. We currently offer plumbing apprenticeships for 5 cohorts of 30 students per year, as well as various other artisan training products such as the MakersHub - an incubation hub that supports small businesses in their journey to growth, formalisation and stability. The Blulever team is growing fast, with many more opportunities for growth.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a leadership role that will oversee both apprenticeship management and student life. You will be working directly with apprentices both on and off campus. This role is both strategic and operational, as you will be building out a team to support apprentices as well as responsible for the day to day operations of the 2 functions. This role will ensure our apprentices receive world class wrap around support.
WHAT YOU NEED
For this role you will need to have 5 - 10 years work experience, with a relevant professional qualification (for example psychology, social work, education etc.). Experience in working with young adults in a caring and supportive manner is crucial for this role. Having your own vehicle and driver's license is a necessity. Experience in leading teams and building programmatic elements is an advantage. If you are passionate about building a team focused on wrap around support, then we’re looking for you!
